our
team

“Every bottle embodies not only the unique flavours from each terroir but also the unwavering commitment and skill of our talented professionals supported by our remarkable 128-year legacy of expertise”.

Some workers have been connected to Norton for over three generations, conferring a family atmosphere in our winery. We are as passionate about producing Argentine wine as our founder was when he signed that first barrel.

CHIEF WINEMAKER

david
bonomi

As part of a new generation of young and innovative winemakers shifting the industry, David first discovered his passion for winemaking while spending most of his time in his father’s vineyard. Born in Mendoza, Argentina, from a family of Italian immigrants with strong winemaking traditions, David explains that “the relationship with wine in our family was always our livelihood”.

As his enthusiasm for wine grew, he decided to study Oenology at Don Bosco University and Juan Agustin Maza University. Since then, the wines David has created at Norton have been awarded over 90 points, recognised by the world’s best wine critics. In 2020, he was named Winemaker of the Year by the world-renowned English wine critic Tim Atkin.
