Wine Enthusiast, a renowned American wine trade magazine, recognized Bodega Norton’s Privada Family Blend 2015 as one of the best 100 wines in the world. This special blend was awarded 92 points and ranked #60, a prestigious award with thousand wines from all over the world reviewed yearly by the publication.
Norton Privada Family Blend was created by request from the Swarovski family to David Bonomi, chief winemaker, to create the very best wine for close friends of the family to enjoy together. This harmonious, complex and elegant wine is the result of a special selection of the best barrels of Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the winery, from 50 to 90 years old, which are located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina within the estates of La Colonia, Lunlunta and Agrelo.
“It displays a very intense ruby red color as well as excellent aromatic complexity with notes of ripe fruit, spices and coffee. In the mouth, it is an unctuous wine with good entry and great concentration,” states its winemaker David Bonomi.
“Privada Family Blend is available in over 60 countries and is one of Norton’s high-end wines that is most recognized by the international critics. Since harvest 2002, it has been awarded with scores over 90 points,” highlights Diego Surazsky, Export Manager. The 2015 vintage has received multiple 90+ scores including 95 points from JamesSuckling.com, 93 points from Wine & Spirits magazine and 92 points from Wine Spectator magazine.
Bodega Norton is very proud of this recognition because it not only certifies the wine excellence but also the experience and importance of an Argentinian winery in the world wine industry.
